They’ll stop at nothing: One Direction fans break into Liam Payne’s hotel to steal his underwear
Just ask Liam Payne who caught two teenage girls riffling through his drawers. The Little Things singer caught the pair in the act when he returned to his unlocked apartment in Palm Beach in New South Wales Australia before they fled and made off with his boxers. The cheeky culprits were later tracked down on the nearby Whale Beach by the band’s security, who found one of the girls wearing the 20-year-old’s red Calvin Kleins under her skirt before she was made to remove them and hand them back.
‘It was terrifying,’ the 13-year-old later confessed of her heist after coming face-to-face with the singer mid-boxers raid. ‘They (the undies) were on the balcony, then I heard someone say, “hello”, and so I jumped the fence. Liam seemed really confused,’ she said. ‘He didn’t say anything to us directly, he just said, “hey” and looked at us then we legged it.’ Her 14-year-old accomplice Yuki, is now terrified she’s in serious trouble after her creepy mission. ‘I don’t want to get in trouble,’ Yuki told Sydney’s Daily Telegraph. ‘I called my mum and she told me that I probably shouldn’t have done it and it was a bad idea because it is against the law. But she doesn’t seem too worried. None of my friends will care. Liam seems really angry.’
‘They only took the underwear,’ said one witness. ‘They wanted to take a wetsuit but someone bought it inside.’ The disgruntled star later shared the racy ordeal on Twitter. ‘Hmmm somebody stole my boxers I’m so embarrassed,’ he tweeted. ‘So how this happened … I went in the sea in those hotel staff put them outside to dry sum1 (sic) climbed on and stole them just to set the scene.’ He ended joking: ‘#breakIntoSomeonesHouseAndStealThereUnderwearDay right I’m off to scarlett johansson’s house.’ He and his band are struggling to enjoy the sun and surf Down Under after lifeguards had to step in and act as stand-in bodyguards to keep admirers away.
